Low pressure ac port

2018 mustang eco boost
This low pressure ac port does not fit the connector from the DIY refrigerant . I’ve done other vehicles with no issue. I think this line was replaced in the past and the wrong size port was installed? Thoughts?

Looks the same as mine, my 134a adapters fit just fine……not familiar with which “DIY” fitting you use. Should fit though 🤔

I’ve tried 2 different types of hoses from different brands. Still don’t fit. Should clip on with ease but I’ve tried everything and it’s like the metal fitting is to big for the refrigerant clip.

In 2017 Ford started using R1234yf refrigerant. Supposedly it is more environmentally friendly. And as an FYI...the fittings are different between R-134a and R-1234yf.

There should be a sticker somewhere under the hood that tells what refrigerant your car uses and how much (by weight) it needs.
Each different refrigerant uses a different connector.
