i personally would NEVER get anything other than active now. In quiet mode, starts are very tame, you can tell it’s catless from the slight reverberations upon start up, nothing bad at all though. Driving around it feels like the exhaust not of a Mustang In quiet. Normal mode feels like driving around in sport or track on a factory exhaust set up and you can tell it’s not the more you lay the foot on the throttle and the valves begin to open up. Track is insanely loud WOT but in all honesty, it’s the perfect low grumble with full 3” exhaust and not excessive like a straight pipe would be (I’ve had a straight pipe I6 vehicle before). So with that being said, solid when even cruising around and no drone. I can’t say the same for other cat backs/axlebacks on the market where im sure you’ve heard how annoyingly raspy and annoying it can sound based on videos online, the full 3” setup and a quality cat back makes all the difference. The tone is definitely a little different too, especially under WOT, you can tell it’s the coyote motor even more so with catless lth’s and the catback. I hope this is helpful, I know you’re probably in Texas based on your profile name, but if you’re ever in northeast Oklahoma, I’d be more than happy to give out a ride to see if you’d like your own setup like this. The ONLY thing I’ve noticed, is it can sound a little raspy when it’s cold and you enter the 2.7k-3k rpm range, and youre in a high gear, that reverb with the engine trying to reach peak power does emit a slight raspy catless noise but it’s deep toned enough that I never notice it being a negative. Personally, I would try and get full 3” from the headers back, catless, and go for the corsas if you want to maintain a quality sound, without the drawbacks of being unnecessarily loud and cheaping out on the mufflers. I will say one more time, track mode WOT is LOUD….

Largest takeaways:
Quiet mode is needed, passengers who don’t enjoy loud vehicles are easily satisfied

Track is bananas

normal / sport - not as insane all the time as track can be and still cruise worthy.
Thanks for taking the time to write all that. I've been eyeing the Borla S-Type/Corsa Sport, however was concerned it wouldn't be loud enough and was afraid the more aggressive Borla/Corsa setups would be too loud in quiet mode. I think you've sold me on going more aggressive. I am in Texas; however, I will be in southern OK in October. How close are you to Springer?

A good bit aways! I’m in Tulsa area. Like 170 miles or so, haha. I would personally go with any extreme active version solely because of the “option” to be ungodly loud but also extraordinarily quiet, normal / sport would be like track+ on stock set up, but it’s not anything near unbearable. You definitely will enjoy the availability to control the noise at such detail.
