I am buying my first mustang and i am trying to find out what other people paid for their 2016 Mustang Gt Premiums. The one im looking at is Deep Impact Blue with a silver stripe, 400A equipment, 20 inch rims, and voice activated nav system. They are giving me an out the door price of 37,000. Is that a good deal?

I just ordered one its a gt prem auto nav and 19 inch rims. I'm getting 37,250 OTD doing transfer tag, FL sales tax, no trade. I feel like I got a pretty good deal. They are honoring the 1000 cash back and a 750 cash offer I had as well. (if anyone wants to comment on my sale price i'm open to thoughts good and bad)

$37,950 with Ruby Red, 401A, Enhanced Security Package, Performance Pack, and Redline Interior.

Now the caveat: I bought it through Military Auto Source but it's the same as X-Plan. I recommend using that because you can certainly get a better deal.

I ended up not taking the deal because my insurance was quoted much higher than i anticipated. Im gonna wait til i can nearly pay in cash so all i have to worry about is insurance. Ive got the itch for the mustang even more now though since i almost drove it home tonight. How do i go about getting the x-plan?

Join either the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) for $40 and get an X plan pin and $750 EAA Xylan certificate or join MCA (Mustang Club of America) for $50 and get X Plan no $750.. Some companies also have the benefit of X plan too.

I'd say that's a pretty good price; very similar to what I paid ($37,300 OTD) for different, but probably similarly priced, options. I also had a lower tax bill due to trade-in.

Yesterday I went to test drive and get numbers. For CO GT Premium PP 401A Navigation was $39,500 OTD. I didn't want to pay higher than $38,000. Didn't take it.
$39,500 was $1,500 under the xplan price.

39500 seems pretty high for what your options were. Good luck bringing them down any lower. Also has anyone gotten the red premier trim to see what the difference is. Is it better quality leather?

I did the same thing with the dealerships. I would tell one that im not interested then come back and see if they could beat this price then play it cool. They nearly always come back with a slightly better price if you are patient.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive at the dealership any day and I ordered redline, my 15 has premier trim in Raven (50th APP) and the leather feels like better quality to me.

I don't think that's unreasonable price at all for a '16. That's about where I estimated my X-Plan pricing would have been with adding 401A. For the options you're looking for you're probably not going to do better than $39,000 OTD for a '16. If there are any '15s leftover then yeah you'll get a much better price.

Do the premier trims have soft touch door panels or are they the regular hard plastic on the top like base and standard premium trims? I never understood why my wife's 33K msrp Escape titanium has the soft touch door panels but my 40K msrp mustang premium doesn't[emoji20] wondering if the premier trims add this.

Yes they have softer panels. The tops are still plastic but the cards are the same leather as the seats.
