If I am number one for an allocation on next year's GT500, which it looks like I will go with a CFTP order, what would I be looking at as far as an official order date, and in a perfect world, a delivery date? I know with everything going on and a lot of 2019s not delivered, a somewhat firm date maybe impossible to arrive at. None the less, any experts care to give approximate dates for the following"

Actual order placed (order banks open):
Build date (ha ha I know):
Delivery date (another ha ha):

Thanks in advance.

Nothing has been announced that I am aware of. I was number 1 on the list at my dealer and I still haven't got it. I think when things return to some kind of normal, you might have a better idea. All you can do at this point is have your deposit down and wait.

Thanks for the reply. Deposit has been made for a while now so the wait for new information will just have to continue.

How do you know that your dealer will qualify for a CFTP car?
My car was ordered on the first day the order bank opened (07/01) and was the first order for my dealer, I didn't get a VIN until 01/16 and the car wasn't produced until 02/28. My dealer has not received a VIN on his second car that was ordered in July 2019.
There are still a lot of people on this list and in the order bank waiting for their 07/19-08/19 orders to be scheduled.
Since they are planning to make the 2020's through Oct 2020 and maybe longer, you may have a wait ahead of you.

Thanks for the info. My dealership said it was my choice for a base car or CFTP but that was back in December when I put down my deposit. I don't know all of the specifics on who gets what but I was told I can change to a CFTP if I wanted to. Again, not sure of all of the parameters for a dealership to get an allocation for a base vs CFTP but they seemed confident that for 2021 I could have either of the two I wanted. As of last month, I was the only person with a deposit down for a 2020 or 2021 at this dealership. Initially they felt I had a slim chance of a 2020 but obliviously that ship has sailed.

If your dealership still has a valid allocation for a 2020, you still have a chance at getting one.

HK: Next time you're talking to the allocation guy, mention the phrase, "Golden Ticket." Watch his face and then ask if the store HAS one for your order. If so, great but, if not, you won't be getting a CFTP. The fact that you were told, "your choice," and in the same conversation, never mentioned a Golden Ticket allocation, kinda leads me to believe that your store may not have one but, you'll find out one way or another.

That was the issue for a 2020. They only got one allocation for 2020 and it had long been sold and ordered. The GM said there was a slim chance they might get a second allocation for 2020 but as we all know, that is not happening and in all likelihood was never going to happen.

If your dealer only had 1 allocation this years, the chances of him getting 3 next year are pretty much nonexistent. At the very least he would have to have 3 to qualify for a Golden Ticket (CFTP, Painted Stripes or a combination of the 2).

Hey Houston, I am from Canada so this info my not apply to your dealership. I placed a deposit this week at my dealership who has 6 GT500’s allocated for 2021. I didn’t ask if any of his allocations were CFTP as I am interested in the Base. But as far as dates he said he expected the order banks to open in July but prepared me for a long delivery, he said worst case August 2021.

I like to disassemble things.

Canadian dealers were already given their respective allocation numbers for 2021? I have a hard time buying that one.

This SVT dealer had 7 last year and yes they have confirmed 6 for 2021, deposit has been paid. I have #3 of the 6.
