I'm not into orange cars at all but the Competition Orange on the S550 Mustangs look amazing.

I respectfully disagree :ninja:

Love my Ruby Red, in any light...but just like ANY car, the paint always looks better when it's sunny out.
Right?? The ruby red looks absolutely sinister in lower light, and in the sun my jaw drops every time. My buddy who sold me the car and my other mustang friend with Ingot Silver said that the ruby red is the best looking stang they've seen. The pics just don't come anywhere near to doing the color justice.

I was not a fan of the Ruby Red at all, then we moved into a new house in April and one of our neighbors had a modded GT PP Ruby Red that I would literally pass everyday coming home from work and leaving from work (it was like he never drove it). Now I think that color is beautiful. It is a bit "loud" at first, but once you see it a few times you really begin to appreciate it.

those pics prove my point lol.. in the sun blinging, not in the sun ruby is dark and very hard to see the flakes without the sun unless light hits it just right.

same thing with guard and magnetic. that's just metallic paint for ya.

I will agree it does not pop like it does in the sun. I haven't seen magnetic in the dark, but I have seen Guard at night and in my opinion it's just bland. The ruby turns a deep crimson color at night and I think it looks anything but bland.

At the end of the day it's all about what you like, and as long as you're happy with your choice that's all that matters. After all, it's what you're going to be looking at every day!

P.S. I'm jealous of your CO. That was the color I was originally looking to get, but it doesn't look right to me without the rear diffuser and I was shopping for a base.

It looks like a dark shade of grey in the dark.

I'm personally not a fan of any of the solid color paints out there...to me they are just bland lol. But it doesn't matter what I think ;)

biggest problem with CO and it's really really weird is under those bright white parking lot lights... it looks brown but under yellow parking lot lights it's fine.

it's extremely aggravating lol

Ok so to clarify...is Guard and Magnetic the same thing?

Do BOTH have the "looks green in certain lighting" issue?

I thought it was just me but if that's really what happens, especially with the Magnetic...that would probably be a deal breaker to me and I'd default to the Silver.

Thanks

guard IS green...

magnetic is not. it's grey. just go look at any ford going down the road that's dark grey... most likely magnetic... you've seen a ton of trucks and explorers with it I can promise that.

Guard is dark green. Magnetic is dark grey.
They can look very similar in certain light conditions.

Guard is dark green. Magnetic is dark grey.
both are metallic

all the paints should be metallic, particularly orange, yellow and race red

Ford is probably trying to be "retro" with the regular paints
