^^^^Wont be done tomorrow.....I'm pacing myself, so I don't *uck myself up...:)

The plan for tomorrow is to get the engine mount off, and with a bit of luck the drivers side manifold. Anything above that is a bonus.:D

Good luck with the install chief:headbang: I thought fitting tri-y's to the '65 V8 was pretty tricky, but is nothing compared to working on a modern engine with everything squeezed in and sod all room:frusty:

As my post was the last one on the first page I think you might have missed it Enoch?

Just wondering, did the welder complain about welding those cats at all? Some exhaust parts can be very difficult to weld due to the make up of the steel used.

I looked for the headers online but could only find the full system and the cat-back. I was also very surprised to see they bought a LHD development car??

Gloucesternige he's got a pit in his garage to get under the car (IIRC).
Enoch fair enough mate, hopefully done within the week, even though I'm never gonna get these (as i dont have enough valves...) but the amount of tension and suspense over these from you/gib/mac/centurion/others has been crazy for these, so proper looking forward to hearing it completed!

I presume fiddling with your engine is much easier due to all the room under the bonnet anyway, like a whale eating a lego brick. :D

Cheers mate....yes I did miss your post;).

No complaints, and no issues whatsoever from Richard the welder..... I watched him do it through a spare mask, and it was spot on....:) he does have a nice TIG set up though..

As for SF they bought that LHD car ages ago, I'm pretty sure all the header work has been done on RHD cars....
yes they only list full systems, but if you ring or email them, they'll sell you what you want..

Costs up to now are AUS$$

1 7/8 Headers with ceramic coating $1423
200 cell cats and flanges $640
Shipping $395
98 Octane tune FOC:)

Total $2458

I set up an account to do the transfer, and the amount converted to ÂŁ was ÂŁ1456.86.

I haven't had the import bill yet and then there's the bill from the welder.... I'm hoping I'll be all done for around ÂŁ2k.:)

Thanks for the offer of help, would have been a good crack:D

Haven't got a pit so working off axle stands... those Steeda jacking rails are well worth fitting..
I did used to have one of these but sold it to a mate, when I said I'll be getting a brand new car so won't need a lift:doh::doh::frusty::lol:

No i'm just an idiot you could give me the smallest engine I still wouldn't want to fuck with it .
But yeah, in principal, it's a lil easier to get around in there, i need the extra space for all the limbs of crowds ill mow down

Ah the good ole days of having some room in the engine bay!
I used to love working on my ole Triumph Herald. Not only was there loads of room but the bonnet and the front wings all hinged forwards so you could sit on a wheel while working on the engine. Mind you, 30 mins and the engine is out and sat on a bench.

Love watching and listening to what guys like Enoch, Gibbo and Mac are doing to their cars. Great stuff
