Hi All,
Just purchased a 2015 GT premium. It was bone stock. First MOD was resonator delete + H Pipe install. See above photo. Can anyone give me their opinion on it? It doesn't sound like what I hear on YouTube.

It does not look too bad for a custom job. However, it won't sound the same as any of the ones you hear online like Steeda because they put a ton of time (and guessing money) designing the flow characteristics to get the sounds you hear. Different brands will give diff sounds.

You might be listening to resonator deletes for the 18+ cars. The stock mufflers on the 15-17 are very quiet and well known for sounding quite tinny when the resonator is replaced with an X or H-pipe. An aftermarket muffler from Borla, Corsa, or AWE would wake it up and have a much better tone. The brand of the H-pipe matters little for sound but could affect durability.

Like the guy above me said ^^^
Believe it or not I could be TOTALLY wrong but I'm sure it has to do with the material it's made of and where the H cross beam is placed

Installed a Steeda H Pipe on my 2019 Bullitt Mustang with Active Exhaust and without exaggeration, it is one of the best V8 exhaust sounds I have ever heard, particularly when in "Race Track" Mode. Installer told me that the engine will pick-up between 3 - 5 horse power and the engine will breath much better.

The cross over looks a little further back (compared to my Steeda) which may or may not have a small effect on sound ?

Other than that, so long as the crossover is at full diameter (on the inside) it just comes down to material and quality of fabrication - I think you would be hard pressed to find a dyno difference from one brand to another :like:

The 2018+ active exhaust does sound great with an H-pipe, but it's completely irrelevant to the OP's experience with a 2015-17 stock exhaust.

What you're hearing on YouTube is the exhaust sound as the car is driving away or by you.

What you're hearing from your car is the exhaust sound from the driver seat.

Completely different sounds.

Also as others mentioned, you might be listening to 18+ cars which have 2 different mufflers and those sound quite different than the 15-17 one.
