I was replacing my tyres yesterday so I did what any self respecting Mustang owner should do and made sure i finished off the old ones via Line Lock.

It's a pain in the ass to get to work - I must have engaged it around 20 times, but it gave an error message on all but one of those attempts (Line Lock is not available - see manual). But we did manage to capture it on film the one time it worked!

The noise in the video near the end is my mate dropping his keys, not anything mechanical.

Lastly, i'm considering removing the stripes (fitted myself - just a cheap eBay kit). What do you reckon, should they stay or go?

I know. In fairness it was the first and only time i've used it, and i couldnt get it to engage again after this attempt so this is the only footage i've got. :frown:

It needs to up to temperature before it’ll engage, had you done a short journey before hand?

when it says press brake you really need to stamp it into the floor for it to register enough to lock on (at least one mine you do)

Yeah i'd been driving for about 20 minutes before this. I could get it through the bit where you stamp on the brake... it comes up with the 15 second timer and says press OK to begin, but when i press OK it then kept throwing the error.

Check the temperatures on the dash to see if they’re all up. It also needs to be in the right modes eg sport for an auto.

Yep fully up to temp, and it worked once, but wouldnt engage again for some reason.

Kind of... I did a muffler delete and replaced with some straight through pipes. It's very loud.

I need to line lock my tyres before the wheels are replaced next week. I have long tube headers, high flow cats, H pipe and a Roush axle back. I suspect it gonnabe loud

It won’t let you do it twice in quick succession, you’ve got to wait and I think go for a bit of a drive too.

So what nobody tells you about doing burnouts is the amount of melted rubber that sticks to your car!

I came to do a detail with all this nice weather, and the car is covered!! I spent an hour with a clay mitt on just the rear bumper behind the rear wheel. This is gonna be a big job. Any tips on a quicker solution?

Its like looking at the stars at night. The longer you look and the more your eyes adjust, the more stars you see.
