Does it matter if the line lock is already enable in the IPC or should I disable it before to do the process?

It seems that the ABS reprogramming is just loading the AS-BUILT DATA. I'm wondering if the dealership/friend that did it used your vin # or the vin # from the PCM of the V8 engine... I just checked a video of a 2014 Mustang getting a new ABS and IDS reprogramming it. It doesn't show IVD. It also could be because it's a different car... I don't really know. here's the video though: [ame]

I still think the ABS reprogramming is the same as ForScan. Maybe we could try to unplug it and plug it back. It could be also something in the PCM that we need to change...

2014 is different ball game and doesnt have line lock anyway. The ids on 2015 and up will let you reconfigure from as built data at the time of "new module" install " unplugging it"

Before i decided to go v8 i had just done e85 on my car and line lock !! It worked on my base 2015 eco 6speed manual no problems

That what I thought but when I saw the video I got a doubt lol. So... you're saying that on your EB before you had LineLock working??

Well that's good news :D I can't wait to get my hand on IDS (I have the IDS software and license but I'm still missing the VCM II lol). Hopefully I'll get it before Friday:p

Please do let me know what you do and if it works when you do receive your VCM! I might just have to head over to my buddy's shop to use theirs! :ninja:

Great thread - I'm sure the folks using Forscan will get this figured out soon enough.

Right this is unrelated to the 15s and newer as ford changed a lot of items, as far as the as build data, when you reconfigure the ABS module you override part of the original AS built data when you check off line lock anyway, from my understanding (someone correct me if I am off) and I did the first 6R80 to MT82 swap in a 3.7 =) , as long as the vin information matches in the IPC and ECU (this creates a sort of network link when each unit confirms matching vins) you can pretty much load any as built data you want, even download data from another vin# as built off fords website if you wanted and import it (at least you could on the 10-14s), or edit specific lines of code in IDS as well to correspond to additional options (Think boss302 wheel and programming new buttons for the ACM).
