Been trying to do this for a while now, I have a Ford IDS w/ software login.

Enabling the Line Lock option isn't the problem, it's reprogramming the ABS module. The car throws a bunch of ABS codes and nothing works if you don't. And I can't seem to get the ABS to re-program.

I will try your unplugging ABS and re-plugging to force a re-program trick, see if that does it.

Hopefully it will lol. Also, I hope you'll be able to test it before I make my purchase. However even if it doesn't work I'll still have IDS with me and the VCM will still work with ForScan anyways...:D

The other thing I am worried about is the fact that you now have a GT BCM and PCM. There might be other bits of code in those modules that allow line lock to function. Something that is not present on EB's and V6's...
This. There is definitely something present here that the EB and V6 don't have enabled, whether it's another configuration change in the BCM, or requires the GT PCM to recognize it. We know 100% for a fact that FORScan can enable line lock on the aussie cars that have it disabled from the factory, so the bit change in the ABS module is correct....there is just something else it's looking for.

Maybe, however I am 99% sure it's the ABS module that needs re-programmed, and not sure if it can be. I think those modules are more of a ROM and can only be flashed once. I really don't think this is a BCM issue at all. The part numbers between the ABS module are the same between all 3 trims of Mustang. I think a new one just needs bought, and programmed new with Line Lock option in IDS enabled. That will force the correct programming. I will try the unplug and re-plug trick next free chance I get to hopefully avoid that.

The better question is, did OP swap to the GT ABS module, or is he still using his original EB ABS module?

I've been wanting a line lock so bad on this car. I would even just buy a third party kit, if a vendor made one. However since the GT cars have it from factory, it doesn't seem any vendor wants to bother.

Seariously this is so easy you wont beleive me !!
All you have to do is convince the dealer to hook it up to ids and turn it on !! No joke ! All abs modules , bcm and dash clusters are the same its all in the configuration . I know this because ive seen it done, my own car was a base eco. Now with the coyote swap we reprogrammed the abs and turned it on , im running the base module and abs pump from the eco !!
As you can see he kept the ABS module of the EB. We should be able to reflash a rom/firmware no matter what... I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it in the IDS. Everything is flashable! Even an eeprom from a cluster is possible if you have good tools and skills.

With ids here are the steps
1.Shut the car off let it go to sleep for about 10 mins
2.then unplug the module
3.Turn the ignition on
4.connect ids and run codes
5.wait for it recognize the abs isnt there
6.plug in the abs module and reprogram abs
7.follow ids reconfigure steps
8.be sure to reprogram ivd like it says to do
9.road test for 100feet before it will light up blue

Make sure u turn on the line lock in the cluster !!!!!

:eyebulge: You got the procedure:hail:! That'll help us a lot to try to reproduce the ABS reprogramming. I will check this out Friday with the tech or before if I receive my IDS.

Thanks!

I passed this along to my contact at My dealership. They are really mod friendly so the tech is actually going to experiment on his EB and see what he can find out. I'll update soon hopefully.

The ids will be no better than the bluetooth obd2 with an android without a dealer login

So essentially let IDS think you installed a new ABS module and reconfigure it, does the Linelock function not present itself as an option till after step 9, is this was I am gathering from this process, you want it to reprogram ABS like a new module install then enable linelock after the fact when its an option, then go into the IPC and enable line lock there so it shows in the track apps?
