not sure if this is the right section, but maybe someone has an answer anyways.
when I use the auto setting for the climate control, the fan will start on max when I get into the car, which means it's blowing freezing cold air in my face until she heats up. Is there a setting somewhere to limit the fan to a certain level while still being set to auto? I'm thinking no, but I figured I'd ask.

That's not right. In auto, mine doesn't even start the fan until it heats up (assuming it's cold outside)

Mine either, as long as it's in Auto it stays pretty much off until warmed up.

It'll blow on auto like that if you have the defroster button pushed. Otherwise it won't.
