Was in playing around with the audio settings (I have the premium Shaker sound system) this weekend and stumbled into a setting that will adjust the volume based on your speed. I'm assuming it correlates speed with wind noise and then adjusts the volume accordingly back to be as close to what you have it at at idle. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Anyway, what I don't quite understand are the settings for this. Off, of course, but then it has number settings, and from what I can remember it was not every number listed form 1 - 10, but more like, 1, 4, 6, 7 and 9. I looked in the owner's manual but didn't see anything regarding this.

Can someone give any insight to this? TIA

The different levels it gives you are basically intensity levels, like how much it should increase the volume from what you have it set to.

In practice however, I notice very very little difference even with the setting at its highest. I forget it's there half the time since it seems to pretty much be useless.

Off, 1 thru 7. I agree pretty much useless from my experience.

So does the volume at least increase, but you're saying the settings just don't do much?

I use it, leave it on max, and love it. I can noticeably hear a difference in sound volume compared to being at a stop and accelerating. Helps with the loud exhaust, too, and not having to fiddle with the volume button constantly.

Dalton has a 16. Wonder if there's a difference?

Maybe... daltron do you have MFT? I played around with it a little more yesterday and there's pretty much no difference between max at 7 or off on my base radio.

I have the Sync 3. If it is not working, I'd take it to the dealer. It was actually a feature I loved on my 05 GT, too. I know it sounds like something so small to take to the dealer, but honestly if you drive a lot of stop and go or varying speeds it works perfectly, at least for me. I really never have to mess with the volume button.
