You can bend/break any wheel on any road. I just replaced a wheel on a 2018 Atlas that was using a 255/50 on a 20” wheel. That’s a 5” sidewall on a 5 spoke wheel where the spokes are 1” thick and 4” wide. The bend was so bad, the entire vehicle would bounce and shake at 15mph. Find a set of wheels from a reputable manufacturer and go for it. We could sit here all day throwing around stories of which wheels break and which don’t. If you’re not building a car to compete in the Trans Am series, find a set of wheels that look good, are lighter than stock, and don’t look back. I agree with @EFI with the recommendation of Apex or Forgestar, all things considered. Nice thing about the Forgestar’s is that they have a lot of offsets to choose from if your anal about fitment
