Thanks for the heads up mate, but late now as already ordered will see how it goes
If they've been sent USPS you can also look forward to paying the post office an £8 ransom in addition to the VAT. Oh, sorry, did I say ransom? What I meant was "handling charge". Greedy sods :frusty:

Have you ordered the full tint kit. - back, front and sides? Really interested to see how they look and how they fit if you could share. I really like the magnetic in the thread link - very stealth !
I would want the rear whit lights to go darker not turn them to red, just to keep the effect going.

I have the full kit waiting to go on when my car arrives. Not sure I'm going to do the headlights tho.
Come on, do those front ones !! Admittedly I am curious as to how they restrict lighting during the night....... I need to do more research on that.

I ordered both the full kit with headlights and also the quarters that just cover the orange reflectors in the headlights. We'll see how it goes...

I've got the AM front reflector blackouts. They were fine at first but showing their age already. Appears to mainly be on the parts that had to be 'bent'/stretched (using heat). All the other tints (on the rears) are mainly flat, so may fare better.

I fancy smoking my rears to gradually earn the "Murdered Mustang" badge I've stuck on my car (summat to do!), but unlike the red tint, it'll dim the lights (guessing 50%), which aren't very bright to begin with. They may appear even pinker. You also can't get away from the fact that on close inspection, the tints are clearly aftermarket stickers. Can't make my mind up.

Its a matter of taste, but you're also going to be following the same style cues as those young fellows with their blacked out Corsas/Polos.

Maybe the facelift will introduce smoked lenses at the rear for all cars, which we could swap out (after getting a bank loan of course).

I saw some tinted front headlight covers on cj or lmr and thought "they look nice" but there's a whole lot of stuff on other forums about not headlight tinting in the UK ( http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/41716-tinting-law-headlights-and-rear-lights/ for starters) which makes me think that it's just not worth the ball ache. I didn't follow the links to all that construction & use regs stuff to check it first hand but the impression I got was anything other than clear or yellow in front of your bulb was verboten.

Given I just don't see cars with tinted headlights out on the road in the normal run of things I think there maybe something in this. I'm sure the police have better things to do and the MOT won't be a bother for three years, but insurers saying "you're not covered" would make me think twice.

Ordered from Anchor room. Sent them to my brother who was conveniently in the states at the time on work, got them brought back and fitted by Extreme Tintz and Wrapz in Burton for £30. Total cost was a little over £60 but worth it.

There's also a bloke who offers a full set and is European (Think he's from Denmark?) on the forums who sells the tints too, different vinyl, but same principle. Kristian87 can tell you more as he got his from them (But hasn't fitted them yet the slacker!)
Hi Manders, thanks for this, just had a look on their website and am considering the complete rear lights vinyl tint kit.

Just wondering, how are yours holding up since the install? Also, do you have links to any pics by any chance?

Hey Lenny, go for whichever you want, I've just got the 6 rear lights, rather than the other light tints, as only wanted them tinted, but all your choice etc.

They're holding up perfectly. I've been closely monitoring one of the vinyls which the applier 'popped' some air/water bubbles with a sharp Stanley knife and then resealed by heating. Everytime it rains I check to make sure there's no water in there, low and behold, there isn't. (It was a very small bubble - but very anal about these things). Can't even tell the bubble was popped. Much with most of my mods, much deliberation was put into whether to get them, and making sure I had the right things prior to purchasing, or had somewhere to do it professionally to keep my car flowing with a somewhat unique identity.

Pictures are below:

Anyone else find that after getting the car they start changing their mind about mods like tints? I have a full set for front and rear in smoke with red rear lights and not sure I want to fit it now...
