Glad I found this thread, just put texas speed longtubes on my 2019 Mustang GT and noticed a clunking noise/metal hitting something, very noticeable in the lower speeds. Went over the whole install and nothing is loose or making contact other than that exact pipe on the passenger side hitting the AC. Fingers crossed that's it, taking it in tomorrow to have a mechanic look at it.

How exactly are you guy's moving the A/C lines? I'm about to install some Texas Speed Long tubes on my 2019 GT and I'm sure I'll be running into the same problem. Thanks in advance!

Hello; Interesting thread. I have a question which may not matter. That is an AC line and is very close to the header. It may be the factory manifold was close so what I am thinking is of no value. But that close to the header would make me wonder if the heat could be something to think about? May not be enough room for any sort of wrap on the header. Just a thought.
Good that you found the noise.

We went over the entire installation and found no other points of contact other than that described in the posts above. Not sure it was the wisest fix, but we simply pushed the A/C line away from that top pipe, which was the source of the dull, metallic clatter I was hearing in the cabin.

Put ~100 miles on it...some spirited driving...and so far so good.

Follow up question...I have a good deal on a set of BMR motor mounts...if I lower the motor 1/4 to 1/2 inches, will I have to make another other adjustments?

The AC line can't be moved. The engine must be shifted over by loosening the motor mounts. It would be nice if they just made headers that fit.

Hey StangTime, thanks for the response! Funny thing is I actually haven't installed them yet lol. I have been building a new garage and actually have not driven the car in over a year. It's been stored inside with a battery maintainer on it and I start it every couple weeks. 2019 PP1 with only 10,028km on it.... I definitely need to drive it more. Just got a 2 post Rotary hoist installed and plan on doing the headers in the next month. I just had someone cut off the end of the Texas Speed Catless mid pipes and get rid of the 2.5" bottle neck and weld on a pieces of 3" O.D. pipe so that it mates up with my 3" Borla Atak Exhaust. 🍻
