I think you're right. Just checked Google images, and it looks like the Euro plate holes are wider.

It may actually be Asian-sized.
I wasn't sure, I just assumed the holes would be wider, but it just seemed odd. Obviously its drill bait for some goofball at the dealer (as shown :( )

I was half assed watching as the plate was put on. I guess the back of my brain went "you can't possibly screw this up."

The top holes are unable to receive the screws. It needs to be drilled out. I messaged my sales rep and let him know I'd be in first thing tomorrow.

At least the holes will be covered, but I'm still not thrilled about it. I also get my locking lugs installed and a slight warp in the hood fixed.
I think the dealer owes you a new bumper, personally. If that doesn't work out, I would find screws that fit the pre-drilled holes instead of drilling them out. If they won't replace the bumper, I'd mount the plate in the correct holes and put the screws back in the the incorrectly drilled holes and maybe put a dollop of silicon caulk on the head of the screws and it that will cushion your plate and keep it from rattling against the bumper, in turn scratching the paint.

Everywhere west of Asheville haha. I'm all over but call Haywood home. :)

I'm not messing with paint matching a new bumper for two holes that are hidden anyway.

If you look closely you'll see that the top two holes are yellow. There's a physical barrier that prevents the screws that came with my plate kit from getting started. They will not thread. I'm about to take my drill and just knock them out myself. But, I won't because I don't know what lies behind it.

I would be very careful when doing that. From Zombie's photo, it looks like there's a threaded metal stud embedded in the bumper plastic. If so, drilling that out will mess up the threads. Maybe find some self-tapping screws the same size?

The top ones dont need drilled, you just put the plate with the screws that came from factory and it goes right in there.

As far as new bumper, even if they would offer you that, just stick with hiding the holes with your plate unless you have a really really good bodyshop that can paint a tripple yellow flawlessly.

It's hard to see in the pic, but there was a physical barrier there that made it impossible to mount with factory screws there. The dealership just punched them out and put the screws in and it was good to go. I've learned with new cars that just because I can doesn't mean I should hahah. They got a good laugh out of that.

Come on, it's north america... why would a north American production car have an Asian or European set on there only.... it's either all variations or north american so I am betting the euro mustang will have a different setup for sure

I'm not sure why these aren't pre-drilled at the factory. I made small drill holes on the top two to start the thread, but the flat-ended screws the dealer gave me won't in. I'm going to my dealer on Friday and letting the service department handle this. Very odd...

I just really don't like that now my rear bumper has extra holes in it it didn't need. I worked so hard to be sure that didn't happen to the front one haha.
