This looks so wrong to me... Anyone else have an issue like this? It's like the drill went too low.

Looks like your dealer drilled a new set of holes... should only be those two top ones already there from the factory

Wow. They drilled two new holes into a perfectly good bumper!

The screws for the rear plate are supposed to go into the holes above. At least by using the upper holes, the plate will cover the holes your idiot dealer drilled.

There is (on my car at least) two factory dimples under the factory holes for the plate screws. Looks like they drilled into them for some reason.

And why are their dimples? You got me. :)

Your dealer really screwed up. The top holes are for the plate. Just move the plate to those holes and you won't see the ones they drilled. Also, get yourself a nice license plate frame.

Ruin, you're going to scratch the paint on your bumper if you leave the plates on the lower holes due to vibration. It doesn't look right.

That sucks they drilled the holes but at least if you use the intended location your plate will hide those other holes.

I'd still think about bringing this up with your dealer though, if not to get anything, at least to stop them from doing it to other people's cars.

For some reason I thought european plates would have a wider space between the screws..?
I think you're right. Just checked Google images, and it looks like the Euro plate holes are wider.

It may actually be Asian-sized.

Since the bumper is already ruined, and I'm assuming the dealer won't compensate you, since it looks like they drilled in one of the specified spots, you may want to use some clear RTV and build up a slight bumper for lack of a better term in the area of the lower holes, so when you move the plate up, it will never rub on your paint.

I was half assed watching as the plate was put on. I guess the back of my brain went "you can't possibly screw this up."

The top holes are unable to receive the screws. It needs to be drilled out. I messaged my sales rep and let him know I'd be in first thing tomorrow.

At least the holes will be covered, but I'm still not thrilled about it. I also get my locking lugs installed and a slight warp in the hood fixed.
