Indeed but I think you have missed my point.
With the cap mod or one of those adapters they sell, the system is still going to be operating electronically. A mechanical bov might be what you're looking for.

I had to remove and then replace the recirculation hose when I installed my intercooler and charge pipes. Silicone spray can be useful in getting tight hoses and/or clamps off and it doesn't harm the hoses.
