It's not that I don't like black wheels, I just don't like THOSE black wheels. Way too busy for me. Those concave wheels look great on that Audi though. ^^^^^

Agreed. God, that looks retarded. I don't see how that thing can even move, let alone actually turn.
I'm going to pretend that you guys actually haven't been living under a rock for the past few years. That car is on an air suspension. Has 5-7 inches of height adjustability and is lowered like that only when parked.

I like painted wheels, including those Vossens, but the ones offered on the PP just have too much going on for my taste. I really like the current PP wheels, and would probably switch them out.

+1 I would expect more from car enthusiast, first to respect the culture, second to understand basic mechanics...

It's one thing to understand what's rather obviously going on, but it's asking a little too much to appreciate appearance mods done solely for the shock value. "Exaggerated" and "may interfere with function even at normal ride height" come to mind . . . and that's coming from somebody who doesn't mind tires being mildly stretched (out to max-recommended wheel widths rather than what's probably a more extreme case with that Audi).

My opinion - wheels need to stand out just a little from the wheelwells and the rest of the car. Black disappears and can't stand out at all, and chrome or even polished aluminum stands out in varying degrees of "too much". A machined or satin finish is right at the happy medium.

I personally didn't like them at first, and that was the reason I was going to not go with the PP, and rather just get the 3.55 addition on my Premium GT...
But then I saw REAL pictures of Ingot Silver (color I ordered) with the PP tires and I immediately changed my mind and went for it.

I personally LOVE them now and think they look jaw-droppingly good on an Ingot Silver, DIB, Triple Yellow, Race Red, White, or Black Stang. I'm on the fence with how it looks on the colors not mentioned... Competition Orange looks too much like Halloween.

You know what, here in New Orleans people like to "Donk" there cars. 26"+ wheels on an old caprice with a suspension lift to accommodate the tires. It's not my style, but I'm not going to knock a guy for having different tastes then me.

I don't like modified 4 cylinders, so I buy mustangs, I don't go and make fun of the high school kids who are working on the only car they can afford...

I enjoy seeing all the different styles of modifications. I'm just happy to see another person who loves cars as much as I do.

White's probably the best colour for black wheels, but nope, not working for me even on my favorite brand. Feels trendy, not timeless. It makes this classy design seem tacky IMHO.

That doesn't make it look any less retarded imho (when parked).

So it's OK for me to vote in this poll, and OK for others to vote and offer their thoughts, but not OK for me to offer mine when I clearly label it as opinion?

If you go back and reread my post I don't think you'll find where I was knocking or making fun of anybody for having black wheels. Which really isn't any different from your position on modified fours now, is it?

I've really been attuned to this whole black wheel thing recently because of 2015 PP wheels issue, and have noticed quite a few cars with black wheels on the street. Didn't really like the way a single one of them looked, and trust me, I'm trying really hard to appreciate them. The wheels were just completely lost in the black. No pop. Had to look hard to even tell what kind of spoke design some of them had.

I want to like them because I'm pretty set on getting the PP, but it's just not happening at this point (liking them). Frustrating. I didn't want to have to deal with the trouble and expense of upgrading the wheels right off the bat, but it's looking more and more like I'll have to go that route. The only other 'stock' wheels that I care for that have equivalent dimensions to the PP wheels are the ones that come on the 50th LE model. Wonder what the odds are that those will available in the parts bin for dealer install at launch?

I HATE, HATE, HATE Black Wheels!!!
Especially ALL BLACK Wheels! Nothing will change My Opinion on this. In MY OPINION the Only Possible way Black Wheels COULD Possibly Look OK is if they have a Machined Lip to Differentiate the Wheel from the Tire and at least give a Visual Clue that there is a Wheel sitting in the Dark Cavern of the Wheel Wells. I've said it over and over, I Cannot Wait for this Black Wheel Fad to Die and Don't Even Get Me Started on the whole Donk Thing. It is Freaking RIDICULOUS IN MY OPINION.
