At the risk of getting a hand-slap for being off-topic.........is there anything in R&D for the '17 6.2 for Super Duty trucks?

Just ordered a 2017 F250 6.2 gas. Hoping NO so I don't want one :frusty:

Yes, they are currently in the works for a kit. Once developed and tested, it will actually work all the way back to 2011. They are still a few Months out, but it is certainly on the way.

I highly recommend against that. Spending $7500 on a kit thinking it won't take much to "slap" onto a 2017 is a very bad idea.

Point was the whipple kits exist for the 6.2 as mentioned above the 2017s will be covered too.

Highly doubt the engine changed from 16 to 17 so major changes id doubt.

Its still a 6.2 You even mentioned the updated kit for the 2017 would be good all the way back to 2011.......LOL

I have a '15 GT with the Ford Racing/Roush Phase 1 Kit and I also have a '17 F250 6.2. The upgrades for '17 6.2 make it a fine motor and sounds great.......but "enough" is never "enough"......stock it is rated a 385/430 so with a Whipple and otherwise stock, I'm guessing 500/550 range?.....would be sweet.

Sorry if it came off in a negative way. I was just trying to clear up any confusion about the kit and compatibility so no one ends up with the wrong stuff. :cheers:

From the horses mouth. Whipple has a kit and calibration that is only good through 2011 on the 6.2L F-Series (non raptor). The 2011 kit will most likely fit onto a 12-14 model but they have no calibration for it at this point.

Now concerning the 15-17's. They have not test fit a kit on the 15-16 model. So there's no confirming whether it will fit or not at this point. No calibration at this time for them too. In 2017 there was a body change so I've been told that it's highly unlikely the 11 kit will fit properly due to those changes. Also no cal available for that model year yet. They will however be picking up a 17 in the not too distant future to fit a kit on and see what changes will be made. A cal will follow and then they'll go back to the earlier years to confirm fitment and get cals done as well.

The 18 setup is gonna be ridic. We've got a performance pack car with the 10 speed auto on order. Hopefully early Nov delivery. Then it's on!

I just got my whipple stage 2 kit delivered YESTERDAY. Grrr.... Oh well, the "old" one should still rip. I haven't even unboxed the blower yet. I'm a little jealous.

The option if there is someone wants to take it, so you are not necessarily obsolete. It's to early to say how the market will be on used Gen2 kits, but I definitely think something will be there. I understand how it pulling off the Gen2 unit and trying to get it sold and shipped can be an inconvenience though.

Also, everyone keeps mentioning 30HP like that is all you'll see. Possibly on the most bare bones Gen2 car upgrading to the Gen3, but even with the Graph Whipple provided they saw a difference of 52HP with their test car. It was Stage 2 gen 2 vs gen 3, 93 octane, stock exhaust, and 3.625" pulley. People will be ordering the upgrade, and more information will be released, but I think it will be worth it in the end.

I want the bigger power and rotors obviously ,im not sure if it can be retrofitted
to what I already have or a trade up/in as a possibility ?
I doubt there will be any demand for just the Hat.
Like an Iphone everyone wants the latest and greatest ,capitalism Dangit !
