In previous cars, I have always been able to find vehicle specific Padding for doors and center tunnel for bracing your legs while doing track duty. I ahve been unable to find anything fore the s550, anyone seen a product like this for our cars?

Thanks

you could wear something on your knee instead of sticking a pad on the car. Volleyball knee pads are pretty effective.

i’d say get a good seat and harness tho so you aren’t bracing yourself in the car with your legs. Less muscle tension, the easier it will be to drive and concentrate.

That is what i currently use , just looking for a better option. Car is mostly a street car, so seats, harness, bar etc is not really what I'm looking for. Thanks for the advice none the less

I had that issue too, but I didn't want to put something loose on the door.

I solved that issue by using the bolt-in Scroth 4 point harness, it hold you in much better than the stock belt and never had the need to use my knee to hold me in place. They bolt right into the existing belt brackets and there's no need for an actual harness bar. They come right out when not in use.

I had the same issue. Did a cheap knee pad for a while, then since installing full race seat have not had the issue.

A cool trick that an experienced racer showed me at my last track day:
Move your seat back an inch or two from where you normally have it when doing track days and put on your seat belt fairly tight. Have a friend put a ziptie around your seatbelt just before the loop in the door frame so that the seat belt cannot extend more and go through the loop. Now put your seat forward to your normal position. The seatbelt won't extend and it pulls you back into your seat. I did this and while it's not as secure as a full-on harness- I didn't have the need to brace myself with my knees or arms and it only costs a ziptie ;)

or consciously use your core to hold yourself and leave your legs and arms loose.

I’m with you there buddy, I have a knob on my knee from a motorcycle accident and it gets rubbed raw after a weekend at the track. Got myself some foam sheet with a sticky backing off Amazon and cut out pads. Now i can make the weekend with bleeding. Lol.
