I bought a 2015 Mustang GT with Performance Pack on impulse after one of my buddies was looking at them. The amount of money being taken off and 0% interest for 72 months make this a sports car on a Camry payment... well the Payment is less than my $22000 2013 VW GTI!

I was sold on the Ford Racing Supercharger at the dealer, but they couldn't do it, I would have to get someone else to install and I just dropped it and would get it done at the local certified dealer in my town. Well, Luckily I read the instructions to install it, and it is a pretty invasive install for what should be a simple Bolt on project.

Anyway, I would be happy with the power claims from Ford Racing, but I am not taking a grinder to my motor or cutting wheel to my K brace. It seems more invasive than need be.

That being said, what options require the least permanent modifications to the car? I have done plenty of turbo setups with no modifications needed, and even more turbo upgrades that integrated seamlessly into the existing system.

I haven't ruled out just a tune, but if I am swayed to FI, cause that is what I planned from the start after my brief moment of insanity thinking I was going to keep the car stock, I want something nice and reversible.

Whipple kit. Takes a day to install with basic hand tools. High quality kit, clear instructions, awesome drivability. Most invasive part is splicing the heater hoses, but really not that big of a deal.

Procharger and Whipple are the least invasive and easiest installs.

Having requested the installation instructions from both Procharger and Whipple, the ProCharger is less intrusive. The Whipple kit requires some modifications that can only be

"undone" by buying replacement parts from Ford. After my review of both sets of instructions, ProCharger with the exception of having to "fish" the IMRC vacuum line back under

the intake manifold would be IMO much easier and less costly to return to stock. I know that the Whipple kit makes better power and driveabilty is better, but cost and ease of

install push me towards the PC. I'll be happy to share both sets of instructions if anyone is interested.

How do you judge "Driveability" from one or the other. Is it in the tune? Procharger is available with Lund Tuning.

I am liking what I see from Procharger. This day and age, having a true bolt on kit shouldn't be an issue, I like that Procharger made their kit bolt on.

I have a manual, which seems to be a minority. I don't need the most power, I don't drag race, I just love forced induction...

Procharger is the least invasive install, we have done them all. No wiring, no cutting, all is bolt-on. PM me if you would like a price, we are Procharger Distributors.

Here is our install thread when we did our Procharger Kit:

Procharger. Cut nothing. Not a wire, hose or anything.
Boom. :)

I have personally uninstalled, and reinstalled a full system in 6 hours while doing photos for install steps. If ONLY every kit was that easy.

:headbang::cheers::thumbsup:

The IMRC was causing some problems with tuning, the Whipple has a proprietary lower intake so that is eliminated. If going with a custom tune then obviously you can work with

them to get this fixed. I know PC has stated that 99% of tunes have been corrected and revised to make the IMRC transition completely unnoticeable. That being said, if I can

fully convince myself I need to boost this car, ProCharger is my choice.

I'm like you, I want a easily reverse able kit that makes good safe power. I want the stock clutch to live and the car be reliable. I bought it to DD the car so reliability is number 1.

I just need about 200 more hp........

Stage 2 kit will get you plenty of HP, and smiles every time you floor it. :)
Easy to install, load tune, and rock and roll. :)

There are only a few things that get modified that need replacement, but all the kits have parts that have to be modified.

We modify:
Passenger side plastic shroud, we drill a 1" hole for the IC hose to run through, with a grommet. This can be plugged later or left as is.
We cut the split loom around the knock sensor wire on driver side to give the wire more room for the new manifold (no cutting).
We notch the driver side radiator shroud close out at the bottom, a 1" x 2" piece that shouldn't ever need replacing.
We cut one heater hose on passenger side to remove the water restrictor and change the hose. This hose gets mended with the Gates heat shrink and plastic barb.
We cut the driver side heater hose to change the end. This hose gets mended with the Gates heat shrink and plastic barb.

The heater hoses can be left as is putting back to stock. So I'm not sure it can't be undone the same as the PC. The PC still needs to mount the IC and duct the air in and out, modifying the shrouds around the radiator. It's not a big deal, but we all have to do some modifying. Neither the Whipple, KB or PC require grinding the block.
