Latching top causes radio to drop out

Good morning. I have a 2022 GT Convertible and I love the car. I have always noticed that when I latch the top closed, the radio drops out for a second or 2. Is this a normal action and if so, what is the cause?
I had a 2006 I bought after 2 friends were almost killed on their motorcycles. All of us had over 35 years of riding and it was people texting in both accidents that hit them. I didn't want to be number 3 so I sold my bike and bought my first Convertible
Anyway, my 2006 had the 2 latches and a different style top. This issue never happened with that car during the 7 years I owned it.

It's normal. Mine does it too, even though I did for scan mod to prevent EQ changes.

Yes, they all do it. There’s a built in switch that changes your EQ profile when the top is down.
