So I am wanting to better control the body roll on my 2018 Ecoboost without stiffening the suspension with heavier springs. My previous car was a 2019 Toyota 86 TRD SE. That car cornered flat like a go kart. I kind of miss that. But I absolutely do not miss the harsh ride. The Mustang handles well but I would like less roll. Anyone who has a base suspension car (EB or GT) have you swapped the sway bars only? What effect did it have? Thanks

I'm thinking that outright harshness comes more from shocks and struts than from springs or bars. And Japanese preferences in shock/strut tuning tend to be on the harsh side.

I wouldn't count on bars alone being able to take much more than about 1/3 of however much roll you're experiencing now.

Give serious thought to upgrading the shocks and struts at such time as you do swap the bars.

I suspect that for a couple of reasons, this thing about "body roll" is as much about human perception as car mechanical. Maybe more on the human side.
