I have about 200 miles on my 7/8 catted Kooks Long Tube Headers. I went back and rechecked all the bolts and they are all torqued properly. I have noticed under load with the windows down I hear a buffing noise similar to having only one window down in a 4 door car and it is coming from under the car. It's really pronounced when I am next to a concrete barrier or trees along the road. It only appears when the car is under load. Also, when I get on the car a wide open around 3000 rpm it sounds deafening at around the doors when passing other cars. I've checked every clamp and made sure the Borla exhaust and x pipe are lined up correctly. I originally thought it was rasp but it is at a different pitch than the exhaust out the quad tip borla.

Hoping to god the comtech header flange gaskets aren't bad.

The only thing I can think is leaking are the factory clamps that come off the stock cats/manifolds to the factory resonator. I think I'll pull the exhaust tomorrow and replace those clamps with a stainless coupling and band clamps.

I have seen vehicles with a cracked exhaust manifold. That ticked significantly.

Spray soapy water on the collector, where it meets the catback, and at the heads. Let it idle and if you see bubbling there’s your leak.

Use a shop vac to pressurize the exhaust and check for leaks. I saw a tiny leak at the kooks mid pipe and one between the x pipe and the rear pipes. Sounds better but I need a new band clamp to replace one that was stretched out and wouldn't tighten down.

That's where I thought the issue would be but it wasn't. The clamp used on there is meant for butt joints and it works very well.
