I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. I did a header install again. I was flying solo this time so it took me quite awhile. I was worried that the bigger tubes would be a problem but Kooks has done a great job with space management.
Kooks header kit came with header gaskets but I bought new OEM (FR3Z-9448-A) header gaskets. I think I could have reused the stock header gaskets but I've been in here once before so better safe than sorry.
I used mostly the OEM studs. I did use a few ARP 773-1002 bolts (I bought) and two Stage 8 bolts (that came with the Kooks header kit). The ARP bolts are 12-point bolts so you can't get an open end wrench on them like the Stage 8 bolts.
Kooks header flange is slotted.
I painted the headers with VHT ceramic coating. We will see how that holds up.
