Does anyone know what the knock PID is on these cars? It's not automatically in the torque app but I'd like to enter it in manually.

Anyone done this yet??

I found it on a random forum a while back. I could not find that bookmark but this is the same entry and equation to enter.

I believe if you download the ford PID set from torque its in there

Sorta works on my ecoboost. I've heard that its not super useful since it doesn't show what cylinder though. I have been getting knock all the time in any 3/4th gear pulls that I log. Been trying to determine what that means. Below is an image of the data graph of a pull from my way to work this morning. You can see the knock count in orange shoot up basically as soon as I mashed the throttle.

If your using the built in PID for knock that comes with torque I don't think it works properly. All it will ever register is 0 or 1.

I've got the DashCommand app and can't find it in there either.

To confirm the knock PID does actually work. I'm seeing from 0 to -4 on the livernois 93 octane v10 tune on 94 octane fuel.

So from my understanding it's adding 0 to 4 degrees of timing on top of the 93 octane tune ignition advance. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also I'm seeing max 27-28 degrees of timing at WOT.

That is correct. Negative figures indicate timing being added with positive indicating retarding timing. I have seen small (typically .5) positive knock every so often at normal throttle conditions and that is not a concern. If you see positive figures at WOT then you need to start investigating whether the knock is false from something like exhaust clearance or if the fuel is of poor quality.

Which app are you using to see the PID Norts?

I am using the torque app paid version. Go into the PID section and create a custom one using the values that sloppymax posted.
