I own a KB 3.2 and driven my friends Whipple 2.9. My car is tuned by Lund his is on the Whipple tune. I think you would be happy with either option. The whipple car feels like it has a little more torque on the street and is really fun to drive but my car is definitely faster at the track. Neither car has ever been on a dyno but I ran 10.60@135 on 12psi on 93 and his car went 11.2@130 on 11psi. I have since switched to E50 with more timing and gone as fast as 10.2@140. As far as KB 2.8 vs 3.2 from what I understand from talking to other KB owners they make very similar power until you get over 15psi then the 3.2 starts to excel. The nice thing about KB is you get the low end of a traditional twin screw but the power is very linear and pulls up top like a centrifugal. I would say whichever you can get the best deal on you will be happy with.
