The 2.8 is available for our cars, the site IS confusing. I think that's part of the reason whipple is doing so well on these forums. Call and talk to a KB vendor, it's a lot easier to get a break down. I will say this though, almost every Whipple vendor was basically KB bashing. The two KB vendors I spoke with did not speak bad on Whipple.
Glad we were able to earn your business solely based on the merits of our system and customer service.

Of course man, I just hope the install is smooth sailing as you hinted towards. I'd like to get it done within a weekend + or - a day or two. And then sort the tuning out there after.

I plan on around 10-12 to start. I'd like to try and max out 93 octane, that's all we really have around Ft. Bragg
It's been 8 years since I left Pope AFB but there was a station up on the north/northeast side of town that sold 100 octane no-lead at the pump. It wasn't a major brand name station but I'd always fill my Evo up there before Freaky Fridays at the track.

Any chance you could try and figure out what station that was? I wouldn't mind knowing where that is.

It was so long ago I can't even recall exactly where in town it was. Maybe try googling it or asking around some of the speed shops there in town. Spec Ops Motorsports may know.

Actually now that I started searching around it might have actually been 110 octane no-lead. There was a station up on Pamalee Drive, a Marathon I believe. Who knows if it's still there. I also saw a post saying there was a Marathon station on Owen Dr that had high-octane.

There's quite a few stations around that area that carry 100-110 at the pump. But it's gonna cost you $5-7 a gallon.

What are the price range for these kits?
For what I just paid, I got this kit less than what most vendors could do for their 2.9L Whipple.
I bought from Boostworks though, he had the best price on this kit I could find.

Did the KB kit include the 132mm TB and larger injectors? Any cooling upgrades?

The kit comes complete to get the car running to include the tune.
No the TB on the KB is 168mm, and the injectors(although still skeptical) are 52lb'rs. Travis assures me it will be enough combined with the BAP that I will max out 93 octane and produce around 700-750whp.

I know whipple's kits come larger on the injector side, but we'll see.
There was an option to get ID1000's but, I don't plan on using e85 or making anywhere near the power for those for a while.

Would love to see your face the first time you hit it. I had the 3.2 and was very impressed. Congrats on the buy.

There's just something about waiting for that damn UPS truck that makes you feel like a kid on Christmas eve. There's going to be lots of very excited moments. Seeing the tracking info that it's out for delivery, initial unpacking, the teardown. The completed car along with initial startup. The dyno and the first time I destroy the rest of my Pirelli's on the ride home :D

Any way you could pm me the price you got for the KB 3.2? Curious as to what these go for and if it'll be possible to go supercharged in the future.
