Yeah, I would love to bring it back with me but it's not quite 25 years old. So far I've been pretty fortunate in my duty stations with Hawaii, southern California, Japan, and now northern Virginia. I'm definitely looking forward to the change.

I enjoy it. Reason these cars have the status they do is due to availability and potential. They wouldn't be any more popular than a MKIV Supra if they were allowed in the States. They are true all around performing vehicles though if you look at the history of the GTR.

I was in SoCal before Japan so I'm not too worried about the traffic. It seems unavoidable in all of the areas I get sent.

I understand but I just can't get over the traffic from Fredricksburg (Central Park) North. The HOT lanes help but not that much. I have to work up there every once in a while and I dread it.

nah I get it, 100%. I was just ribbing a little. I am originally from South Eastern Wisconsin, so I understand how annoying it is when you're not used to dealing with traffic and then you go to the big city and it feels like the biggest annoyance ever.

I've moved around a few times, been in a few cities, and while DC is BAD, Los Angeles and the entire metroplex there in general makes DC look downright brisk. As much as DC traffic might suck, I'll always know that Los Angeles is far worse, lol.

my spouse and I both for a time worked in downtown DC (her @ 16th & Penn, and I at 18th and Penn) and every day was hell. Finally had to give in and take the metro, and leave the car @ home.

They are pretty poor quality, but you get the idea. There is a huge price gap and availability is also an issue in Okinawa. I bought this as an island beater for under $3,000 but any year GTR on island will cost over $15,000. I was looking for a R33 GTS-T but there were none for sale when I needed to buy.

Thanks for the pics... Was hoping uncle sam woulda sent me over there when I was in... but then I woulda had to choose between the r34 and the mkiv supra.... I am torn just thinking about it....

I chose the R34 because technically I COULD own a MKIV in the States, but the Skyline is a once in a lifetime car ownership. If only the Supra was reasonably priced.
