No difference at all.So I have a question: on an H pipe, does it matter where the connecting pipe is at? Like does it change the sound if you move that forward or rearward?

Yeah my wife has a 2021 GT also and she is looking into Borla. Funny story when she got hers and didn't let me drive it. I said fine I will just get my own. My 16 GT was in the shop for check engine and backfiring then researched it could be that cyl 8 issue. Traded it in and got this beauty, magnaride is crazy nice and that 12" cluster is great. My thinking was similar to yours with my 15gt when I had it.
I went to h-pipe for a bit but then wanted a little more and better quality so I did the Borla Touring cat back and it was perfect and not too loud at all.
Did the h-pipe on my new Mach 1 and it’s way louder, almost too loud . Lol
I have a 2020 GT/CS with a Ford X pipe plus stock mufflers. I believe it sounds pretty good at low RPMs and I actually have gotten compliments on the sound but, I am looking for a more refined sound as it gets too tinny opening it up above 3K RPMs. I am thinking about the Ford Performance Sport Axle backs but, I often leave my home at 6am on the weekends for car shows. Trying to judge sound on youtube is just not effective. I am considering the Ford Perfomance Touring as well but, I am concerned it is not going to give me that extra volume above 3K RPMs. So, what I am looking for is something I can sneak out of the neighborhood with at idle with a refined exhaust note that opens up when exceeding 3K RPMs. I do my cold starts with the garage closed so, I am not too concerned with the cold start unless it shakes the house and wakes up my wife :-D. I also have plans to install a Supercharger at the end of this year so, I am looking for a good flowing exhaust. My car is more of a weekend show car/cruiser but, I do like getting my coffee during the week at 6:00am too and the local coffee shop is only 3 miles away :-DStart with a resonator delete X or H pipe and see how you like it. If you're wanting more volume out of it after the resonator delete you can look into an axleback.
Feel free to reach out if there's anything we can help you with.
