I know I'm gonna sound like a punk, but can I get a Lund tune that doesn't require 93/91 octane fuel? I am more than happy to use mid-grade, but premium is pretty exorbitant.
you can, but power gains will be very limited, throttle response and everything will be improved, but really would recommend a better octane

Dang. Do you think if I went with 91 instead of 93 it'd still be worth the pretty significant cost of the tune and intake?

would def be better than 87

but if your taking the time and money to do mods, why not just run 93?

Fair enough. Can the nGauge at least have multiple tunes loaded, or the SCT, and if so does it cost more? I'm thinking if money gets tight or if the 93 around here skyrockets in cost I could go back to 87 or 89.

The Lund Racing nGauge holds unlimited tunes. The SCT device can hold up to 10. With the purchase of a device and Lund Racing custom tune you receive 2 free tunes and free updates for bolt-ons. So if you add a different intake, throttle body or headers which may require a tune update that's all included.

Give me a call if you have any other questions and I'll be glad to assist you.

Thanks, Jared

I am currently running 87. Should I wait till the tank is almost empty to program the 93 Lund tune?

Yes. You'll want to get rid of as much 87 before you start running the 93 tune with 93 octane.

So how does it work if there is a dyno place down the road from where you live? Do i but the CAI and have it installed and have them do a custom tune or do i need to buy a tuner from you which will come preloaded and then they will just fine tune it on a dyno. Confused if i need both parts or not.
