12.6 quarter mile on stock tires with 307 horsepower. The cars only 150 pounds lighter than the base gt.I, m not sure about this unless they really lightened up that car, the numbers dont add up.

I think it ran as fast as 107. It could be a base model and maybe they pulled some weight out. If I had been in mineshaft air, I probably would have gone 3 tenths quicker just on IATs and timing.

See that 's what im talking about 12,6 at 107 and on stock tires. That would be a hard feat even with slicks.Usually that kind of time gets a 112 to 114 trap.

No, you need to be either basement 12's or in the 11's to get trap like that. Livernois went 114 on their race gas, lightened up, 11.8 pass. My Coyote would run 116-117 on 11.7 ETs. 107 on 12.6 is doable with their reported HP level. I think I saw a 1.76 flash on the board for their 60 foot on one run. That is a tenth better than mine...so that would have equated to 2 tenths out the back. So, I could have run a 12.7 on a 1.76. These times are conceivable. IIRC, Torrie made 300 RWHP with this tune. I may have picked up 10 HP with the Airaid, but I think in this air I was right at or right below 300 wheel. If this car was a base, this time could very well equate.

That is fantastic... 107mph! Tune only... from ~98-100mph stock. Crazy gains!

I took their dyno graph, along with a GT stock dyno graph from gibson (http://www.mustangworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703460) and put some values into excel to get a formula defining the power curve. I then ran an integral with wolframalpha from 3000 to 7000 RPM to find out the amount of work done. The EB resulted in 1150.7, and the GT resulted in 1169.35. Very close results. The EB had higher values lower in the curve, so if I had data from around 2000+ RPM, they would probably be identical. With the lighter vehicle, I can easily see how they are running such close of times.

Quarter mile and performance is all about the amount of work under the curve, so this is very important information.

Apparently the run was with a 50/50 race gas and regular gas mixture. I don't know if that makes a big difference in power or 1/4 mile times.

That makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE. This means they had timing in the car. These cars get absolutely raped by the PCM pulling timing due to IATs. They must have commanded some decent timing to need a 50% mix with race gas. If I had just been at 0 total advance, I would have gone 12.5..theoretically and based upon what I found my car lost per degree of timing.

So does that mean the car makes the same amount of power but it just don't go into negative timing?

No, it means it made more power...or perhaps saying it maintained power is better. As you go down the track the IATs climb and the timing gets dumped. I am not sure how their timing looked though. I don't know how Torrie's timing looked when he made the dyno pull on this tune either. I have no objection to dumping 5 gallons of VP 101 or MS 109 in my car to get timing where it should be. I probably am buying a meth kit next week.

See the more I read this post this car is not even close to stock with a tune only, if he is running race fuel theirs no way he has cats on it.That said it is a good run then.

Well, I am in New Orleans. When I was at the track it was in the upper 60's and the humidity was over 90%. I am looking for that 40 degree day when the DA is -2k.

That is not true. There are plenty of unleaded race fuels that you can still run a cat with and have no risk of damage. Plus, you are talking about a couple of passes at the track.

Back of the envelope...

307/.8 (assumed loss through auto) = ~380 at crank

Mustang GT traps 112 w/ 435 hp.

435-380 = 55 hp diff

112 - 107 = 5 mph diff

Assuming 10 hp/mph...50 hp

Weight difference impacts mph as well, but as a quick sanity check, I think we can conclude it's well within reason...
