Nice. Good choice for a vert as sound gets inside a lot easier vs a hard top. My 99GT vert had drone issues like mad and the soft too made it so much worse.,

You're going to love it!
Expect strang odors while it breaks in.
If you get a rattle, it might be the left pipe hitting the parking brake cable bracket. I had to loosen the clamp forward of the resonator union and lower the pipe a bit.

Sound is awesome!
I put 100 miles on it yesterday to break it in and the sound tone/quality was exactly what I was looking for. Deep, throaty, minimal/no rasp. Really improves the sound quality of the car. It now sounds like it looks!
I bought the Magnaflow Street cat-back and would rate the sound as slightly louder than stock... but you wont be "that guy" in the neighborhood unless you stand on it.

Even though you listen to a million sound clips on youtube, there is still a part of you that isn't really sure how the thing will sound in person.

The installer did tell me to expect a weird burning smell, which went away after a while. I also observed odd ticking noises and stuff, but it went away after the first few miles. I'm assuming it was the packing or whatever voodoo is in side there settling.

Next mod is probably going to be stage 1 or 2 performance pack.

Question for yall: At this point..delete the sound tube, or do you think it still provides "value"?

Sound tube is useless at this point. Go back to your exhaust guy in a week or two. Part of the breaking in is metal expanding and contracting more when new. He'll need to retighten everything.

I'm glad you like your new exhaust, I love my comp cat back. MF is top notch for sure. I still have my sound tube but will probably take it out when I do a cai and tune. Also, I enjoy being "that guy"!!!:headbang::headbang::headbang:

Does the sound tube have to come out anyway if opt for the performance pack 2? If so I might just leave it in till I pull the trigger on that....

We always love hearing this type of feedback from our customers! We're happy that the Street catback was just what you were looking for, and thank you again for choosing Magnaflow, LM!
