Issues With MMR OPGs?

Any members here seen any problems with the MMR Oil Pump Gears? Such as low oil pressure? Or other problems? Not trying to start a war just some honest feed back.

Never heard of any failures or problems with any of the OPG manufacturers (except Ford, lol)

Thanks for the feedback. Have heard that they are a hit or miss. Shop told me that they had low oil pressure after installing these MMR gears switched them to another brand and pressure was back where it was supposed to be. Hopefully was just a bad batch. Are they made in the USA or China?

Gear ratio is set... frankly I find it hard to assume it would lower your pressure.

You can't just arbitrarily change a years tooth pitch or count.

Our gears are hands down the best on the market. Our gears do not have ANY issues with oil pressure, in fact our gears are the only ones tested for flow and pressure (see our youtube video). Our gears have NEVER suffered from a single failure. Our gears are 100% USA made! Our gears can be found in many of the current and past NMRA champions including coyote modified and Renegade.

If someone had low oil pressure it was likely caused by leaving out the factory o ring when re-attaching the pick up tube or having incorrect pick up tube to oil pan clearance.

If anything our gears produce more pressure than the others on the market due to more precise tolerances. Our gears hold a tighter tollerance due to 100% CNC machine process, we DO NOT use the cheaper wire / edm cutting process like the others on the market.

These gears are bad ass and rock solid! They survived an oil starvation due to a clogged pick up tube “ thanks oil level sensor” that tore my engine up, oil pump housing not so good but gears are in the rebuilt engine and make gobs of pressure. Thanks MMR :cheers:

never seen or heard of a low oil pressure from a set of opgs, ever, and we have been around this for a long time,

Yeah... I'm gonna go ahead and say the shop installed the MMR gears wrong and fixed the mistake with the other gears. Let's hope they didn't fleece the customer even more by charging twice to fix an error they found they made during the second installation.
