Is your Mustang a 2-seater or a 4-seater?

I would consider a rear seat delete if you could still fold down for more storage.
Something I don't like about the rear seat delete. Would be nice to have the option to fold it down

I'm short (5'8") and getting shorter, my wife is also short. I bought the Mustang GT convertible specifically because it has a useful back seat, for the grandkids. But, it has carried 2 adults in back on a number of occasions for about 100 miles and nobody complained.

Fast forward a few years and the grandkids prefer the back seat of an SUV with their Ipads and the adults who rode in back have their own muscle cars. Plus, my wife doesn't particularly like getting in and out of any car that's fairly low anymore. So, it's basically just me and a small 2 seater is more my style. Life goes on, the Mustang was fun while it lasted. For just me, the Z4 is a lot more fun.

I was thinking 2-seater, but then my wife went on a few drives in the back seat and it didn't seem to bother her. So I'd say 90% 2-seater, 10% 4-seater in a pinch.

It's fine if you are under 5. Seriously folks, it's a 2 seater. Duh!

My Mustang is strictly a 2 seater. I don't foresee EVER trying to squeeze some unfortunate person into the back.

But I love the practicality of the backseat and large trunk for storage and long 'weekend' trips with golf bags/etc.

For my driving use case a Miata would have worked great (carving curves on country/mountain roads), however the Miata is completely impractical from a storage/travel aspect.

Its a shame the back seats are useless, and they look so pretty in red! 😅 🤪

You know there's literally a name for this layout right?
It's called a 2+2.

It's technically a four-seater (unless you have one of the few two-seater models) but you don't expect to put anyone in the back unless you have to or they're small kids.

Which is why it works perfect for me as a family car right now. 7-year-old fits in the back still. So I can take wife and kid no problem.

I occasionally have my little guy sit in back, when the wife is sitting up front. So More of a 3-seater lol
