Is your Mustang a 2-seater or a 4-seater?

My Mustang is strictly a 2 seater. I don't foresee EVER trying to squeeze some unfortunate person into the back.

But I love the practicality of the backseat and large trunk for storage and long 'weekend' trips with golf bags/etc.

For my driving use case a Miata would have worked great (carving curves on country/mountain roads), however the Miata is completely impractical from a storage/travel aspect.

3 seater max. My wife is short so if we have 3 she sides sideways across the seat and she is happy.

My daughter still fits in the back behind the passenger seat. My wife always rides shotgun, she’s just as tall as I am (I’m 6’1”, she’s just under 6’). My son (at least as tall as me if not slightly taller now) can fit back there if needed but it’s rare that all 4 of us ride in the Mustang any more. So I’d say 3 seater at best but primarily 2.

I use all 4 seats. My wife is 5’5” and sits in the passenger seat, 8 year old son behind here, and 4 year old behind me

The only human small enough for the back seat is my toddler. Otherwise that's where my work bag and lunch box go.
