If its invisible to my eye and not damaging the car, i dont care how its done. Zip ties are good and strong. Heck, if ford would just zip tie shit together we probably wouldnt be having any issues.

Ok, then apparently we are all driving a POS with "abysmal" engineering and quality. Yet, people keep buying these cars and I guess we have failed to get the word out to avoid these POSs. i was simply implying a zip tie fix is not a solution for any new car, let alone a $60k car. If we as a community have not worn the Ford customer service and quality dept out about this and have resorted to zip
tying the car together then we have failed. I have a 3 week old GT350 with rear bumper cover gaps. I will start the process of correction with Ford tomorrow and will not stop until it is fixed. I WILL NOT use plastic zip ties to hold my brand new car together. That is simply absurd.
Hi Tflong24,

Which dealer are you working with on getting the bumper corrected? Please send me a private message with your name, phone number, VIN, and mileage; I'll see how I can best assist.

Mine is still at the factory if you want to catch it before it leaves. Maybe they can just keep it. Ill send you my vin and you can tell the dealer why i didnt want it. Slim chance but maybe with the refresh the sagging bumpers will be fixed

Can you help me as well please ?
Absolutely, EF300! Have you taken your Mustang by the dealer yet? Please send me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealer; I'll see how I can help.

I got another on order anyway...maybe that one will be built right. Slim chance but maybe with the refresh the sagging bumpers will be fixed
Are we all supposed to go ape shit mad before we get someone to listen?
I'm listening, machsmith. I'll get your feedback documented and sent up the chain; to do so, please send me a PM with your name and contact information.

If there is a fix, I would expect it to roll out at some point to all cars. I would say rejecting the car for a yet to be discovered problem is a bit brash, and its not like the dealer is going to lose their skin if you do, they can sell the R very quickly either way

haha, yet to be discovered problem? I see the bad fitment on my car waiting to get on a railcar.
I would reject this car if they didn't already sell my GT500. I'm sure I could just take the cash tho, but then I'd be out the tax credit. It may go up for sale in a month or two. I'll maybe order a 2018 if there is a refresh to the bumpers. Nothings perfect, I get it, but at least try thats all I ask. If I keep it, I'm sure I'll find a way to "Rig" it to stay up tight and in place.

If you dont take the car please let me know, I can try to use the poor fitting bumper to get the ADM down very low.

So, lemme get this straight... machsmith is complaining about the fitment on a car he hasn't even seen yet?

The bumper isn't falling off, but there is a good size gap there. I've prepared myself for fixing it myself when it comes in. Think I'll just get some white 2" duct tape and run it down the crease, may need 3" to cover it. Lol

Im a mechanical engineer so I plan to fix it on my own at some point as well, perhaps a bit more robust than duct tape. I'm just too busy right now so hoping ford does the leg work for me.
