it really is not a good time to buy any car....that being said do what works for you.
That is a very general statement that is in good part true. But in this instance it appears this car is a reasonable value if it is in excellent condition. If this were me looking at it, I would buy it. But what the heck do I know? :cwl:

As suggested, it appears to be within the +/- $1k noise level for this vehicle. Buy it and enjoy it. It has what I call all the key bells and whistles for upgrades. That "noise" will be a distant memory in less than a year.

I doubt there will be any material drop in price or value once the new gen comes out. They still are almost a year away from first deliveries.

Hi guys, Iā€™m thinking to buy a mustang and found a 2018 Kona blue ecoboost convertible (201A package) with 20k miles for $27k. Do you think itā€™s a good time to buy one? Will the prices drop down when the new one comes out?

please let me know what additional details I can provide about the car.

What is the VIN to the above vehicle?

The price point is subjective though... the OP could also find a 2018 EB w/PP and possibly other options for around the same money (+/-) $1k-$3k...

It's about how much the OP is willing to spend or bend for the right Mustang, convertible or coupe.

If one were to go onto Cargurus and open the search to Nationwide, there's a ton of S550 EB Mustangs out there in the same range, take your pick.

KBB, Edmunds, NADA, and any of the like sites will always be within $500-$2k of each other when it comes to "blue book" values.

If you want to determine true "what is it worth", you need to run the VIN through the Black Book site - that's the most accurate...and that's the "book" or site that most Automotive Auction Houses, Auto Insurance, Dealerships, and Finacnial Lending Institutions use for determining $$ value whether it's a trade or to retail sell.

If you want a 21 hard top in dark silver with 1000 miles on it and the correct transmission, the last price I saw was 30,000. You have to come to VA for it. I know the original owner. Me

And I can stuff your trunk full of new wheels and parts if so inclined

how much should these go for if it wasnā€™t a bad car market?
I bought my Race Red '18 convertible with the same equipment package with 32k miles in June of 2019 for $20,650 before taxes and fees. At the time that particular dealer had half a dozen used convertibles from 2016-2019 and the most expensive one was around $24k.

STOP!!! :giggle: Different times, different circumstances. What was, was. Will we ever see this again?Maybe a few years down the road. But what are you going to drive between now and then?

As my old boss used to tell me at least once a day....."stop getting wrapped around the axle".

I was at my local Ford dealer Friday and $27k looks downright reasonable compared to the $49,000 EcoBoost they had in the showroom.
...And only $1,500 of the price was the dealer's "market adjustment".

I only posted that because the OP asked about pre Covid prices.
June of '19 was 7-8 months pre pandemic. And remember, stupid pricing didn't start right away. It was several more months before the government started handing out money willy-nilly and the chip issue reared it's ugly head and pricing went nuts.
But, yes, I paid about $300 more than 50% of its window sticker.
Today I did a quick search and the least expensive convertible I found in my area was a '16 with 108k miles for $18,899. Most '18s were in the $25k range.
