I have 2016 GT350 track pack in shadow black. Will adding stripes aftermarket decrease its value? Can Ford dealership add stripes as done in the factory?

ford dealership will be overpriced. Bigworm Graphics makes GT350 styled stripes that are better ( no gaps between the bumper and the stripes) than the OEM ones.

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
I don't think it affects the value as it could always be returned to stock. The only thing i would say is that the stripes will add an element of paint protection and UV fade resistance to the underlying paint so depending on how long you keep it and where it spends most of its days it could create a perceivable color difference if removed... This wouldn't be enough to stop me if its what i really wanted though

That's a good point, that I hadn't thought about. I may remove my stripes sooner than I planned to.

I think it's a bad idea because they look better without them. :drumroll: Queue stripes vs no stripes thread!

I got a price from the dealer of $3163 for the factory stripes. I was planning to clear bra my entire car, and I was investigating removing the stripes, clear bra, then replacing. I ended up buying two sets of stripes from Big Worm Graphix: matte black and matte charcoal. They sell for about $250 per set if I remember correctly.

I ended up doing matte clear bra over the stripes. So I still have the two sets of stripes. I'll let them go for a very good price if you're interested.

I had the same debate. Especially on black did I want a shadow if I ever didnt like them in a year or 2 living in a high UV state like Florida which will fade it even more.

If the next owner likes them, cool, but you dont want the dealership/buyer dinging the price because there's a big shadow line and they dont want the stripes.

Opted against vinly stripes.

Modern clear coat paints generally do not fade (in relative terms) unless you age through the clear cost and it fails -- and that takes years. You will not see a difference in pulling the stripes after 2 yrs. AND if the clear coat faded to the point of the 'stripes' showing when the stripes are removed and clay/buffing did not restore ...well lets just say you would have already determined a new paint job was in order.

In short- your worrying about NOTHING.

Shelby's had (not all - it was an option) over the top LeMans stripes to tie the car into a racing theme back in 1964/65 (The International Racing colors for the US back in the day was white with blue stripes; Corvettes raced at LeMans under that paint scheme long before Ford did). Your call if you want them- do what you like.

I bought the matte black from the aftermarket and will sell at a good price if interested. I'm not sure I know the part number.

If you're asking about factory stripes, the factory stripes are about 10 part numbers, maybe more.

If you have a car with no stripes and want to clear bra, assuming is better to clear bra first then add stripes?
