Ok, since a new iPhone thread is here may be you know guys how to do it. I would like to restore iPhone to the factory defaults but then I ONLY want to restore the contacts. I guess the problem that the phone has now is buried inside the backup copy what I transfer from one iPhone to another when I replace them (when I click reply to the email the phone freezes for a good minute and then unfreeze and let me write a reply). It was like that on 6s, 6, 5. So I would like to start with a scratch but only to have all my contacts available. HOW?

How about:

Setup an iCloud account
Set only Contacts to Sync (or whatever mix of data, i.e., Calendar, Notes, etc.)
Restore phone to factory defaults
Sync to iCloud account

I am....a few months after all the bugs get worked out lol.

Bugs are usually software related. I'm going to probably pick one up, but am really hoping a JB comes out for ios10 quickly. Stuck on 9.3.3 right now.

My Sprint Lease is up in Oct so I will get a new one. I will get the 7Plus this time. Since I retired I can carry a larger phone and not look silly at a client meeting. And it is nice to use HUD apps at night on road trips. The only thing I hate about upgrading is the Apple Tax. That is having to buy new charger cables for the cars when they change the hook up systems. The Apple accessories are always twice the price of items for the other phones.

They have changed the plug once in over a decade of ipods/iphones/ipads. I'd hardly be concerned with it. If it lasts as long as the old 30 pin, we have 7 more years before the next connector comes out.

So true, plus you can get Lightning cables from Amazon Basics, Monoprice, dozens of other sources, fully certified, for _cheap_.

I think my last Monoprice cables were on sale, and like $5 for a 1M cable (after a year, one was a little inconsistent / shorted, replaced for free, love me some Monoprice ...)

I will and never buying android again. Every Samsung phone I had crashed, frozed and got super hot .My 5 year old iPad is still performing good.

I feel you! had that problem with Galaxy s5 Active.

Just Curious< you guys think the IOS 10 Update will make the current iphone 6s a bit slower (maybe a hair or two)? I think there even given you the opportunity to down grade back to ios 9 if 10 is not for you.

I agree, i am using the iOS 10 beta on my iPhone 6 and it is noticeably faster you should not have a problem. I'll be upgrading to the new iPhone since 16GB was a bad idea. I'll probably run into the same problem again though as picture and video quality increases so does the required memory.

I have never had an android. I was a phone jumper as I switched probably twice a year between Blackjack, Blackberry, Palm, Windows and the like. Ended up getting the original iPhone and was sold hook, line and sinker from the moment I turned it on. At the time it couldn't even do MMS but I didn't care, it was that good.

Since then I have switched to a completely Apple ecosystem and couldn't be happier. The original iPhone worked so good compared to what I had experience with that I figured their computers must be as good and boy was I right.

I will be getting the 7 Plus on day one as I've never missed a model and don't plan on it. I am not a beta user because I like the experience of a new device to also have the new software to cure my current phone complacency lol.

I just had to buy a Windows craptop to use the MX Bluetooth thingamajiggy to customize my car and truck like turn off the double honk. My god I could never go back lol, what a horrible experience lol.
