I think the biggest gap in the market is plug and play solution for the lights. Even if you buy the DD or the other ones tribars for the wiring you really have to do a lot of electronic stuff by yourself.

It would be great if there were connectors that use the OEM socket and also offer the OEM socket as an Output. So you just plug them between the original turn signal parking light or DRL, so you don't have to cut and rewire the electronic to intercept the signal of the lights.

Guess as a bĂĽndle DD Lights + matching Plug & Play connectors could sell great. But maybe that's way too complicated to build or let somebody build that
Yeah it would be too much complicated, and for some part it would not be possible at all. But after all, you have to dismantle half of the car to remove and reinstall headlights\taillights, so in my opinion the plug-n-play stuff is not so needed.

I should work something out where people buy the front and rear light mod from you know who, then drive to Italy to get it installed by papinist and get a free holiday

Great ideas guys!
you are more than welcome to visit me in Italy for some lights party :D

(P.S. no warranty provided)

Plug&play solution is way to difficult to provide as we need to plug the wires in to much places (Wipers for DRL, parking for dimmed mode and turn as turn).

Parking + turn can be provided as plug&play, need to find the correct connector with one cable on the side of the (+).
For DRL, we have to find a +12v after contact, the only one we have for now is the wipers power signal (but I heard/read that the UNNAMED found another place to get the power...).

Ground, need to find a good place for that.

All this mod, made by myself, is really easy. Some fast-connectors into all the wires and job is done. The most complicated part of this is to remove the bumper + headlights. If you managed to do that, then everything else is easy.

Also, in partnership, I meant, if the unnamed is OK, you go there, learn how to open the lights, then you make everything in Belgium.

For us, it means :
- less delay in shipment (if we ship lights to you)
- a partner not too far away for us
- we can drive to you, unmount everything at your shop, you make the lights (we go visit and drink some beers in Belgium :p), we mount everything back to the car together and then we drive home :D

Last point, everyone is then happy

Edit : at least, I have already 2 other belgian fellows from the French mustang forum that are interested in this mod

Opening the lights without the oven method, which a company should never do, is not that easy. The good companies always cut the plastic on the backside and don't touch the glass at all - Since this really could make some trouble with the tightness. Maybe he should look for a good cooperation partner for modify the lights.

Great tip!

The more people are interested in the same thing, the easier it should get to figure out a deal. I'll defenitly look into it!! John577 cedfx2

Ace I think the adjusting of the lights should remain with the inventor of it anyways! Wouldn't want to steal anybody's business. Nevertheless, I think there are some possibilities here! Made in Poland, yet offered closer to home. If that would be something members here would be interested in, why not! I'll figure it out :)

We also have tuner in germany who are using "other people" to modify the lights of the Mustang. Good cooperation is sometimes better than trying everything on your own :)

Another solution, if your business allows it, is to always have a set of front & rear lights in house for the mod.

First, you can buy a 'used' set, let it modify by 'someone', then sell it in exchange of the buyers lights. Then, let the set be modified, sell in exchange of the buyers lights, and so on ...

But for that, you need a good trust in the customers, and we all know it's really difficult nowadays...

That's works, but you only send out the modified set once you received the customer set and inspected it.

It would still cut down on "downtime" for the vehicle though

Cool man, well done!
Where in Belgium are you located?
If a customers buys at your place do you install for him too?

Maybe a solution where people wqnt something from the States and you can order for all of them and import it through a system to avoid highest taxes, this way you can also win on it and people buy locally in Europe.

Things to sell: catch can, the special plateholder and so on

I'm in the Leuven area. Doesnt get much more central in the country!

Group buys defenitly are a good way to reduce costs! Shipping rates are a bitch if you buy piece per piece. Taxes will still have to be payed unfortunately :D wouldn't want to do anything illegal :ninja: For some it will get easier though to deduct the 21% VAT on a purchase with a European invoice.

About the installation: I'm working on that too! But wether you want to do it yourself, get it done by your dealer or with my help (if it's something I'm able to. Otherwise I'd rather leave it to the specialists. A catch can, sure! Happy to help. Changing final gearing, little less :D), is all good. Whatever you like best. I'd love to provide a place where customers can install themselves. Since I loved installing the mods myself so much! But like I said, still working on that for now!
