3m Dinoc Carbon Fiber on my roof and my decklid, did it myself. I plan on doing some 3m white in my dash. I also have white carbon fiber from Chameleon, if you go with the pony accents dont do white. You cant really tell when you apply it, I almost forget that I have them.

I recently wrapped a large amount of my interior pieces. I used 3M 1080 vinyl that I got from metrorestyling.com

Besides the Dash and steering wheel how easy was it to take off the pieces to wrap them

White was one of my ideas but I haven't seen any photos, I would do plain white if anything. When are you planning on doing the wrap?

tza888: I've done the dash, bezels, shifter boot, and cupholder. I'd love to do the door handle/grab handle. How hard was it to do those pieces? Did you have to disassemble the doors?

Overall the disassemble was easy but it really does feel like you are going to break the clips. At least mine did cause they didnt want to break free. I followed this youtube vid for the panel removal [ame] . The only thing extra i did was to remove the screw on the back that held in the handle/unlock buttons and also removed the screws on the back for the door grab.

@brandonsmash : Once you have the door panel off, its easy to get the door grabs off

I used the 3m stuff on my BMW to cover up the burlwood dash. 3 years later and still looking great.

How much product would one need to wrap the entire car? I've been tossing the idea around of wrapping my S550 but don't want to spend the cash for the install. I'm assuming the prices for wrap are all labor driven and DIY would be MUCH cheaper?

Also, how difficult is wrapping a car? I've heard both ends of the spectrum (super easy anyone can do it, and impossible unless you're a professional). I'm sure I'll get the same here but just curious to see if anyone has personal experiences

It'll cost roughly $500-$800 just for the vinyl, depending on color and brand.

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself, some panels like the fenders and doors are easy enough, but you need 2 people minimum, and the bumper will give you hell. Maybe do everything but the bumpers yourself, that's what I plan on doing at least. But plan on spending more for lots of extra material.

''The best way to calculate how much vinyl your vehicle (cars, SUVs & pick-up trucks) needs is by the below simple formula.

Length of your vehicle x 3 (for the two sides & the top of the vehicle) + extra for bumpers and mistakes (5′ to 15′ depending on complexity of car and your skill level)

Example:
2016 Ford Mustang: (188″ x 3) + 10′ = 47′ + 10′ = 57′
the closest roll is a 5’x60′ so purchase the 60′ roll''

When I wrapped my last car it I used a 5x60 roll which I got for around $500. I did the wrap myself and it was a pain in the ass. It would be helpful if you have someone to help you. Only parts I wish I had help on were the bumpers. If I were to do it again I think I could do it no problem now that I have experience with it
