Some do, some don't. Unfortunately most don't because some folks fib to the insurance company. LOL Check with your lienholder on what the highest deductibles they allow and consider raising to those limits during storage.
I had a good relationship with my credit union and they allowed me to take collision off during the winter months on other cars I've owned, talk to your financial institution and see what they'll do for you.
Also, if you have new car replacement or gap insurance you have to carry full coverage or you'll lose that.
I waivered back and forth on the GT350 between regular insurance carrier who wanted $1,500 a year to Grundy who will insure it for $850 per year, stated cash value, no deductible, but with some driving limitations.
I went with Grundy.
