I did this before on an old body kit on my FR-S. You can use one of those yellow markers to line everything up before taking the adhesive backing off so you know it's perfectly aligned.
can you elaborate on the yellow marker trick your talking about ?

Thanks for the suggestions, I received mine today. I'll probably leave it for spring when it's warmer. Probably the most expensive piece of plastic I bought.
I’m going to install mine tomorrow. Going to be in the mid 60s

If you use Adhesive promoter ,it will bond like crazy . my suggestion just pull back the red backing cover just enough to leave a ear hanging off on both ends .That way you can Position it, then slowly pull the backing off while you push it place .

After 1500 miles I’ve noticed a few small rocks that have wedged themselves in between the molding and fender. Maybe not using the adhesive will allow for regular “maintenance”? I can pull them off and clean and reinstall…..

Do you think you could pull them off after they have been taped on without damaging them? I know that tape is sticky af

i think with heat i can remove them. i actually think they might have already been removed when the PPF was installed. i'll have to ask the shop about it!

Oh wow. I didn’t think about the ppf. I was planning on doing mine this spring 😬

Really wait after the PPF.
I didn’t realize they were held on by adhesive so the dealer installed them before I picked it up. I’m curious to see what the shop says about how difficult it was to remove them or work around them when they did PPF

Was your PPF cut before them or did they wrap around then put the moldings over it? The shop I just asked about this said to install the moldings afterwards. They said if the moldings cause the PPF to push up, they'll cut it and do the moldings that way.

The moldings were on the car when I dropped it off. The film is wrapped around the edges, underneath the molding. I’ll post up when I get an answer on how they dealt with the moldings during install.

Talked to the shop yesterday. They did not remove the fender moldings. They were able to trim the film and tuck it inside the molding up to the adhesive line. They are good because without removing the molding I can’t tell how they did or where the PPF stops.
