Hey,

My car has just about 400kms on it which is under 300miles. I got my Roush intake today. Can I install it now or should I wait till the break in perioud is over (1000miles/1500kms).

?

You can install it now it won't hurt anything. The v6 has a strong motor. I ran the hell out of mine the first 1000 miles.

You'll be fine, just save your stock intake so you can swap back immediately if anything happens and you take it in for warranty work.

Should you switch the stuff you can, back to stock even for something as simple as an oil change? Or just actual warrranty work, like if something breaks?

Ha. Just did the same thing here. The dealership said there was no break-in period so I went ahead and pulled the trigger with the same Roush intake. Killer...

I just installed it this morning. Excellent sound and I definitely feel a little bit more pull in the low RPM range.

Depends on your dealer and the modifications that you have really, for something like an oil change you should be okay. I went in for an oil change (with all mods in my sig) and no questions asked. But yes if anything breaks you want to bring your car in 100% stock or as close as possible.

Dont worry...i sid a intake on my second day lol. I did wait till i had 500 to 600 mi before i reved ot to 6k, and about 1,000 mi before i reved it to 6500 to 6600 the first time. Need to let the motor lossen up a bit. Things really get good after 2,000 miles, when i did my first oil change. My 0 to 60 times dropped by almost a second once it started breaking in.
