Had this on my 14 and a lot of others had the issue too. If you wedge a small piece of plastic or paper between the mirror mount and the windshield it fixes it. The spring for tension is jsut not strong enough to prevent the vibration

I don't have lowering springs. So, what's causing it is the vibration of the body of the car. Nice job, Ford. :/

If you read my previous comment carefully. I had the vibration from completely stock car and it went away after Spring/Shocks.

Ok, so it seems like the stock configuration produces the right frequency of vibration in the car to make it shake but the new spring/shock setup changes it for the better.

Update:

Vibration came back. I will try to see if it is coming from driveline vibration. Will report back, team!

Only had 4mm shims. Shimmed 4mm reduced vibration to none in 0-75mph. still have vibration in 75 - 85. I will try to get around to 1/4" shim that seem like most people are having success with

I have it. GF finally noticed it on our recent vacay drive. I used flocking tape under the mount, too.

I think it is likely related to driveline vibration. I have that symptom, too, but it is mild enough not to obsess enough to try to fix it myself, or to take it in.

I have this from 75-85. Not there below that or above, except right near 60. It's annoying and done it since day 1 of ownership. I've thought about adding a decent chunk of stick-on lead to mass damp it.

Vibration over bumps loud music etc...Normal Having to re adjust the mirror after a trip or anytime really, is not normal. Unless you are 6'4 like i am and bump your head on it and move it that way lol

My mirror assembly actually rocks up and down. About 1/8 inch worth of slack. It shakes on the freeway but F it.

I guess it vibrates because it has resonant frequeny close to frequecny of other sources of vibrations (engine, road/tires, music).
I will try to add some weight to it to see if it changes anything.
