Inlet temp wire?

While looking around under the hood I noticed a wire at each hood vent, what is this for?
Oh and I didn't read the manual... j/s.

They are to tie down the Heat Extractors to the hood. Harder to steal apparently.

Has anyone removed these? Now that I removed the heat shield these are a PIA!

I took mine off as the tape came loose after removing the insulator heat blanket.

They are a PIA. I tried cutting those bitches off its thick wire.
