After a spirited drive for about an hour and a lot of stop and go traffic,
I noticed while idle in my parking lot that my Inlet Air Temp went up to around 140 degrees...
Everything under the hood is stock,

Can someone confirm this IAT range is normal and expected after a long drive (at idle) or if their s550 has also hit these temperatures without issues?

I also asked a tech at my dealership and he didn't know what the "desired" or "safe" range was for the Inlet Air Temperature
He has to look into it and get back to me,

Thanks in advance,

if its all stock, its fine. temps go up, they will go back down when you drive. if you are aftermarket open element like engine bay, it'll be higher than stock. the stock box's are pretty much awesome straight from factory. if you are sitting still somewhere, the plastic will eventually radiate to the same temp as engine bay. but as soon as you m move it'll drop drastically and cool down.

Good to know, I also have this faint hissing noise from the front of the engine near the intake manifold or air box which the tech at my dealership says is normal and checked that it's definitely not a vacuum leak or anything like that. I've seen some other 5.0 owners asking about the same hissing noise on other threads with no clear answer.

Do you know if that's a normal noise on our engines?
