Nice! Do these engines have TiVCT like the 5.0? What is the CalID?

Just curious , as I have always ran a stock motor what are the downfalls to using a tuner? I know warranty is hooped but does this harm the motor in anyway?

UPDATE!!!

More better numbers!!!! :headbang:

304hp/342tq!!! Stock was 276/291

Thats a gain of 30hp over stock and 51ftlbs/tq :headbang::headbang:

So excited to get these numbers and to get our custom tuning up and running on this awesome little 4 cylinder.

Dont for this evening and will be test driving this tune tomorrow. Will report back with results and driving impressions.

JJ
I bet these gains double once a proper breathing system is installed. Turbo cars love an open downpipe and highflow intake, especially with a good tune. The less back-pressure the better.

These gains are making it hard for me to decide whether I'll be in the market for a GT or an ecoboost. Both engines seem to be responding extremely well to the most basic bolt-ons

I am interested in this as well. I've heard people claiming a simple tube does not effect the warranty while some say it does. Is engine life reduced with a tune?

Engine life is controlled more by maintenance and how you drive.
A tune may help you drive harder because it feels good, but it is in no way destructive by itself if done well.
With that said there are tuners out there who have released unsafe tunes and blown up engines but those are less common than the internet would have you believe.

As far as warranty and a tune well that's IMO being a little selfish. Anything drivetrain related should be on you at that point. But that's my opinion. And yes I have munched 2 turbo engines (BMWs) playing with tunes. Nobody's fault but my own.

And WMS again great work on this. I will definitely be giving you some attention when the time comes.

that tune alone is going to put it up close and personal with a stock 5.0.. and weighing in at just over 200 pounds less. they are going to be scary close.

I'll be a guinea pig as long as I get the tune for free. :)
